Thinking of Becoming an RGIB Authorised Representative
It’s Like Being Self Employed
Becoming an RGIB authorised representative provides an easy solution for those persons wishing to work in the insurance intermediary industry, without the usual burdensome procedure.
Since the inception of the Financial Services Reform Act’ 2004 ‘FSR’ our industry has introduced a number of stringent and costly procedures to reach a higher professional standard required by the FSR’.
However, the cost of establishing and maintaining compliance standards is enormous thus, the alternative solution of becoming an authorised representative of a licensed firm such as ours, is an attractive one.
Essentially, the FSR’, allows an Australian Financial Service License ‘AFSL’ holder such as RGIB’, to appoint aauthorised representatives to act on our behalf selling available products and/or services and typically earning a commission on each sale and renewal.
The advantages of becoming an RGIB authorised representative are many, for instance;
