Complaints and Disputes Resolution Procedures

Lodging a Complaint with Rural & General Insurance Broking Pty Ltd is a relatively simple process however, in order to deal with a complaint efficiently we will need as much detail about your complaint as possible.

To assist you in setting out the detail necessary you can print out a copy of our Complaint Form and fax or mail it to us for immediate attention however, before you go to the trouble of lodging a written complaint - have you telephoned us to discuss your complaint first?

These are the usual steps & procedures we would ask customers to follow in order to ensure that a complaint is dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Step 1
In the first instance, talk to us.

If your complaint cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, your next step is to lodge your complaint in writing, preferably using our Complaint form.


Step 2
The Complaint Form should be faxed or mailed to us, along with any supporting information that will help us deal with your complaint.

We can accept the Complaint Form by email if you scan it, with supporting information, and forward it to us in either PDF or JPG format. Send to: office@rgib.com.au


Step 3
If we are unable to resolve the matter to your satisfaction, within a period of three (3) working days from receipt of your written complaint, you can request that your dispute and/or complaint be referred to the Insurance Brokers Disputes Ltd (IBD) which is an independent organisation set up to deal with Broker-/-Client Disputes. You can also call IBD directly on their toll free phone 1800 064 169 or email them at info@ibdltd.com.au.

The objective of our Complaint & Dispute Resolution Procedures is to provide a fair and timely method of handling disputes without the necessity of other burdensome procedure.
